Raleigh Ophthalmology (ROPC) is pleased to welcome optometrist Dr. Stefanie Fernandez to our team of dedicated eye care professionals. Beginning Monday, Oct. 12, Dr. Fernandez will see patients at our Raleigh and North Raleigh locations.
Dr. Fernandez provides comprehensive eye care for patients of all ages, with experience in primary eye care, medical optometry and the diagnosis and management of ocular disease.
Dr. Fernandez earned her Doctor of Optometry degree and a Bachelor of Science in vision science from the Nova Southeastern University College of Optometry. She also holds a Bachelor of Science in biology with a concentration in foundations for medical sciences from Elon University, where she minored in neuroscience and psychology.
During her clinical training, Dr. Fernandez completed externships at leading ophthalmology practices in Florida, gaining extensive experience in medical optometry, ocular disease management, glaucoma, diabetic retinopathy, macular degeneration, corneal disease, oculoplastic care and cataract and postoperative care. She also observed cataract surgery and worked alongside ophthalmologists in collaborative optometry and ophthalmology practices.
Committed to a compassionate and patient-centered approach, Dr. Fernandez takes the time to listen to patients’ concerns, educate them about their eye health and develop personalized, evidence-based treatment plans. She is passionate about helping patients protect and maintain their vision throughout every stage of life.
