Overall, I believe Id recommend this facility, but I do have several critiques. First of all, it typically takes a minimum of 3 months to get in for a scheduled appointment, which feels a bit long in my opinion. They are however one of the few places in the area who will see toddlers under the age of 5 (my daughter was 2 the first time we went), so the wait to get an appointment is justified I guess. They do a good job of sending reminder notifications leading up to the appointment so that youre less likely to miss the appointment, so that helps.I arrived very early to the appointment to update paperwork. The facility was under construction (which we were unaware of before arrival) and there were a bunch of people in the waiting room. There was a small area for kids. It was literally a table with a kiddies chair, a few broken toys, ripped up books, and a couple puzzles with missing pieces. We made it work.My copay was collected up front, which was expected. They do a good job of communicating this ahead of the appointment, so there was no surprise. We were taken back about 20 minutes after our scheduled appointment time, despite showing up early as requested. No one apologized or acknowledged the wait. No biggie, but it would have been nice in terms of patient experience. I dont recall anyone actually introducing themselves either, doctor included.Clinically, things went smoothly. The assistant gather some preliminary info and dilated my daughters pupils. We were taken back to the waiting room for another 15 minutes or so to wait before being taken back to see the doctor. The exam went well. They gave us a script for glasses. Unfortunately they dont have an optometrist on staff, so we had to find someplace else to actually have my daughter sized and to order said glasses. (Note: We initially had hoped we would be able to take the script and just order glasses online, but because they dont actually have the means to size you for the glasses, you still have to physically go to an optometrist before being able to order glasses online). All in all, the visit was not bad, but no expectations were exceeded. Well likely continue to see this doctor until we are able to find a 1 stop shop that meets our needs.
