The offices appear to be state of the art.As a self paying patient (No Insurance) I asked up front how much the office visit would be, and was told I could not be given an exact figure, but it would be around $250. Which I paid up front when checking in. I was subsequently sent a bill for about $50.I know that Services were provided and Tests performed. I have no complaints with the services provided at my office visit. What I DO have a problem with is the cost.As a self pay patient I HAVE AN ISSUE WITH NO DISCOUNT GIVEN when I pay for EVERYTHING Myself (cash, no insurance billing and delays). Im not asking for the same negotiated rate an insurance company would pay (that would be nice), but I know it would definitely be less that what I was charged! Possibly significantly so.
I had a great experience at my (first) appointment at Raleigh Ophthalmology in Clayton. Everyone from reception to Dr. Hoffman was professional, friendly and very helpful.
