This was my first visit to Raleigh Ophthalmology. I experienced very friendly and knowledgeable people from the Front Desk, to the intake nurse, PA, and the ophthalmologist, Dr. Erik Johnson, who performed a surgical procedure on my eyelid. My wait time was very minimal. I was taken back to review medical history and then waited a very short time for the doctor. He thoroughly discussed my situation and offered the surgical procedure, letting me know what it would entail every step of the way. I agreed and It only took a few minutes for them to arrange the procedure room. Everything went exactly as the doctor said. Dr. Johnson explained recovery and what I should expect. I would highly recommend Dr. Johnson and the Raleigh Ophthalmology group on Blue Ridge Rd. in Raleigh.
Fairly well oiled machine. Appts are fairly long b/c of all the testing done.great care! Dont care for the billing system. Wish they participated with insurance.
I arrived for my appointment and was greeted by the registration staff cheerfully and politely. Filled out newly required privacy forms and waited only a few minutes to be escorted by nurse Eliza to the examination room. Eliza did a comprehensive eye exam in preparation for meeting Dr Adams. Eliza was courteous and efficient at gathering several test results and registering these in the medical record system. Eliza applied the dilation drops and notified Dr Adams. There was a slight wait for the dilation to complete then Dr Adams arrived and began examining my eyes as one had extreme redness. She quickly determined it was not an infection but from blood vessel that might have been injured inserting contacts or rubbing. The full exam was completed with revised prescription for eyeglasses. Dr Adams reviewed my eye status and the slow growing cataracts and an eventual need for correction. We chatted briefly about family before leaving.I highly recommend Raleigh Ophthalmology. Patient since 1975.
