LIST OF SERVICES & PROCEDURES
Contact Lens
Soft Contact Lenses are made from a gel-like plastic that contain or absorb
approximately 38-79% water. They offer initial comfort and most
will last for up to a year with proper care. Soft contacts range
from disposable lenses, replaced every day, every few weeks or every
few months, to daily wear lenses that are removed nightly. Some
soft contact lenses are mass produced in limited sizes and in a
wide range of corrective powers. Other soft lenses are custom manufactured
for individual prescriptions based on practitioner and patient needs.
Rigid
Gas Permeable Lenses, or RGP's, are also known as oxygen permeable
lenses. RGP's consist of a durable plastic that transmits oxygen.
They offer excellent vision and eye health, and because they don't
contain water, they resist deposits and are not prone to harboring
bacteria. This means they clean and disinfect easily, don't dehydrate,
last longer and are easy to handle. RGP lenses are custom made
for each individual patient. Your practitioner will measure the
exact curvature of your cornea and prescribe a lens with a curvature,
size and corrective power that is for your eyes only. For more
