A Raleigh native, Dr. Gupta completed her undergraduate studies and graduated Valedictorian from North Carolina State University. She received her medical degree from the University of North Carolina prior to completing her residency at Duke University. Her fellowship in cornea, external disease, and refractive surgery was performed at the Wilmer Institute at Johns Hopkins University under the tutelage of Dr. Walter Stark and Dr. Terrence OíBrien.
